How to Change a Boot Partition in Windows XP
The boot partition on your Windows XP operating system is the partition of your computer's hard
drive that contains the operating system files. You change the boot partition by installing
Windows XP to a different partition on the system. This can be necessary when you have to clean
a partition due to viral infection, or when you simply want to refresh your XP installation.
Instructions
1.Insert the XP CD into the computer.
2.Restart the computer. Press any key to boot from CD.
3.Press "Enter" and "F8" to move to the installation screen.
4.Follow the onscreen instructions to select the partition upon which you wish to install
Windows XP. Highlight the partition and press "Enter."
5.Input additional information when requested, such as the product ID number and your network
workgroup (if your computer is networked).
